- 2013 Ford Fusion SE 1.6L EcoBoost
Just some info to help those with the 1.6L EcoBoost (not to be confused with 1.5L EcoBoost) change plugs. A regular 5/8” spark plug socket will not clear the spark plug wells, so you’ll need a thin wall 5/8” socket. This tool worked perfectly - 5/8” thin wall magnetic (holds the plugs) on swivel 10” extension. Inexpensive, has all the right features: “LEXIVON 5/8" Swivel Magnetic Spark Plug Socket, 3/8" Drive x 10" Total Length | Enhanced Magnetic Design with Thin Wall Socket, Cr-v Steel (LX-122)”. On Amazon or eBay.. I only paid $12 on Amazon.
There’s a lot of misleading info online.. some people think it’s 9/16” but that’s for the very similar, 1.5L, engine. The 1.6 is 5/8”, but you need this tool..
