Do you think Ford should have called the new Fusion Sport the Fusion ST?

How many people felt that Ford would have marketed the new Fusion Sport better if they had called in the Fusion ST?

As an ST owner I don't think so. To me "ST" means more than just a badge or trim level. It means that the performance engineers on the Ford Special Vehicles Team designed, tested, and fine-tuned the vehicle. From what I've read the Fusion Sport is a great car but not an ST.

I think it was a marketing decision, the sport badge is more appealing to a wider variety of consumers versus the ST badge.

True, most people don't know what the ST trim means. But they do know "Sport" lol.
