Windshield Wipers Make Noise?

Hi..
I just purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion SE with 18K miles on it.
Every time I turn ON the engine or put the key on start, I noticed a thumping sound.. I then realized it was coming from the windshield wipers. They seem to want to start to move. Not sure if it's supposed to do that or not. It seems the wipers kind of want to reset themselves or something?

The wipers work fine.. no issues with the at all.. it's just the noise they make when I turn the car ON.

Has anyone noticed this?

I noticed that mine does that after a car wash or when I lift my wipers up. Doesn't happen all the time.

Check the wiring. A bad ground can cause surge in the electrical components.

Try checking if the blade arm is placed too tight on the wiper blade linkage it might be the cause of the thumping sound.
